According to BildSport Liverpool have made contact with Bayern over the potential transfer of Thiago Alcantara.
Liverpool have contacted Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic over the transfer.
A deal between Thiago and LFC has already been agreed in principle and now the negotiations between the clubs has begun.
Sky Sports Journalist Kaveh Solhekol reported that Manchester City are not interested in signing the Bayern midfielder. Solhekol says this despite City losing club Legend David Silva to Lazio.
Christian Falk, Head of Football for Sport Bild and Bild Sport, confirmed that Liverpool have indeed contacted Bayern.
Shortly after, noted transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Liverpool’s contact with the Munich based club. He later went on to say that Bayern want no less than €30m, but Liverpool will not meet that valuation.
Bayern want a fee between €30M and €40M and it is said that Liverpool will not be put off by this fee.
To further the links, Klopp has said some nice things about Thiago in the past. “Naby…together with maybe Thiago Alcantara of Bayern, for sure the best player in the Bundesliiga by far”.
Klopp went on to say “we wanted to get [Naby] in”. We all know how that went, will we see Klopp get his man again?
What do you think, Reds? Will Thiago be a Liverpool player?
