With the 2020/2021 footballing season looking to kick off soon, Liverpool’s first-ever Nike kit drops with pre-orders already available.
Ever since the Liverpool x Nike deal was agreed earlier this year, fans have been eagerly waiting for Nike’s first stab at a Liverpool kit. Seeing as how it became the biggest kit deal with Nike in Premier League history, expectations were high. Are the new kits as good as people wanted them to be or are they disappointing?

Home Kits
The new LFC home shirt has taken away the slim stripes and is now plain red with a white crest alongside the Nike logo and the Standard Chartered sponsorship. One of the biggest changes from last year’s kit is the different tone of red that was used for this year’s kit, alongside the added blue lines on both the arms and neck.

One feature that did not change was the “Eternal Flame” symbol which represents the 96 who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.

The new shorts show a plain red with the white Liverpool crest alongside Nike’s logo.

To finalize the home kit, the new socks include the white and blue stripes that were seen previously on the shirt. It also includes grey lines for the soles.

Goalkeeper Kit
For the goalkeeper’s kit, we have a beautiful black and grey kit with several lines and dots around it. The white Liverpool crest, Nike logo, and Standard Chartered sponsorship blend in really well with the other colours.

The new shorts are plain black with the white crest and logo standing out.

The new socks are like the shorts, plain black with the white Nike logo, and just like the red socks, these include lines at the soles, but this time white.

With this being Nike’s first-ever kit for Liverpool, have they delivered or should we be hoping that next season they pick themselves up from this? There are already mixed opinions on the media, but if one thing is certain it’s that we will be rocking this new kit on what will hopefully be a successful next season!
