Liverpool Made January Bid for Bundesliga Star

Liverpool made a move to sign Bayern Munich versatile defender David Alaba in January. The Bundesliga defender held a public press conference on Tuesday of this week to discuss his future.

“It’s no secret that my agent is negotiating with other clubs.”

The Austrian defender said that the decision to leave Bayern after ten years was very difficult. He even touched on how “all” of Bayern Munich, management and players, tried to get him to stay.

“Everyone, absolutely everyone. I’m really thankful for that and that’s why it made this such a hard decision. I can call FC Bayern my family.”

David Alaba had a lot to say during his press conference on Tuesday.

“I have made the decision to leave FC Bayern at the end of this season and try something new. It obviously wasn’t an easy decision – I’ve been here for 13 years and the club means a lot to me.

Liverpool One of Many Interested Clubs

Liverpool are one of a host of clubs interested in Alaba’s services. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are all keen on David Alaba.

Although there are several of Europe’s elite circling around, Alaba has not made up his mind.

“I haven’t decided where I’m going next.”

Although he has said that he is not sure where he is going next, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Alaba has a verbal agreement with Real Madrid.

Notable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano went on to say that Liverpool are “desperately” trying to convince Alaba to join them in the summer.

Liverpool Football Club and Jurgen Klopp have been long term admirers of the defender and will surly do everything that they can to secure his signature.
