Liverpool have yet another injury to deal with. Club captain Jordan Henderson was forced off after a non-contact injury in the first half of today’s Merseyside derby.
While being chased down by Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure, Jordan Henderson went down with an injury. The English international attempted to walk it off and play on, but eventually succumbed to the pain of his injury.
The commentators were going back and forth on whether Henderson sustained a groin or hamstring injury. The club will have more information on the injury after the match against Everton is over.
Giving Liverpool Supporters Something to Celebrate
The Liverpool captain was very uplifting in his media availability before the Merseyside derby.
“If we can give you something to celebrate tonight – in the comfort of your own homes with your immediate family, of course – that would give all of us a massive boost, especially after a tough run that we know won’t have been easy for you.”
