Jamie Carragher has made a bold statement and outlined the three players that Liverpool need to sign. The club legend has said that the team needs to strengthen their depth.

Jamie Carragher went on to say that he believes the Merseysiders need “three players”.

“They need that centre-back, maybe he’s joined now in [Ozan] Kabak, they need someone to replace Wijnaldum and they need someone in the front three.”

Liverpool currently sit in 4th place on the Premier League table, 10 points behind league leaders Manchester City. However, several teams below Liverpool have games in hand and could surpass the Reds if they win those matches.

Jamie Carragher says that the Fenway Sports Group brass should look to Manchester City as the recipe for success.

The legendary centre-half turned pundit has been very vocal with his opinion that Jurgen Klopps’s side need to invest in their squad in order to stay title contenders.

The club could be in for a busy summer of exits with a lot of the current squad players being deemed surplus requirements. The club could see Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi, Alex Oxlande-Chamberlain, and Joel Matip amongst others leave the club.
