It took 28 days for Liverpool to grab their first win of 2021 thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane.

The three points mark another win over Tottenham for the Reds, another goal for Bobby and another win over Mourinho for Jurgen Klopp.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg got his first Spurs goal and it was a corker.

Liverpool leapfrog Sunday’s opponents, West Ham, to occupy the final Champions League position.

Bobby Dazzler! He comes to haunt Spurs again.

In a must-win game, the reigning Champions lived up to the German Head Coach’s rallying cry for the team to fight.

Now, Jordan Henderson and co. are breathing down the neck of Leicester City, Manchester United and leaders Manchester City.

The Official Liverpool Man of the Match

Not only was Alexander Arnold named LFCTR MOTM but he was awarded the Carlsberg Man of the Match too, cheers Trent.

The MOTM Reacts

Our 66 bagged his first goal of the season, it finally turns the page on a poor run of form for the Scouser.

His assist and second half strike are a welcome sight. Time to build.

Spurs Reaction

Captain Fantastic

Where can’t he play? What can’t he do?

Call upon Henderson and he will answer. Boy has he filled the boots of Gerrard.

Minnows without him, imperishable with him. Our captain.

Thiago Reacts

Not the glistening performance we can expect from our Spaniard as he failed to sprinkle his elegance on a brilliant Reds display.

He did make a contribution however, he was first in Martin Atkinson’s book for a foul on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The physios had a bit to do when he needed treatment after a clash of heads.

What a win that was then Reds.

We move onto West Ham on Sunday now, finish this dull January with a bang.
