Liverpool have renewed their interest in Crystal Palace starlet Zion Atta. The sixteen year old winger has turned down a new scholarship and professional contract offer from the London side.
Mail Sport have reported that the young Englishman is seeking a clearer pathway to first team football.
As a result of this, teams from all across Europe have shown interest in signing the budding star. With clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool circling for his signature, he has signed with super agent Mino Raiola.
Alongside Manchester City, Liverpool also face fierce competition from AS Roma and Ajax; both who have made big offers to Palace.
AS Roma pose the biggest threat to the Merseyside club as Zion Atta has family ties to the Italian capital.
For those who are not aware of Mino Raiola, he is one of football’s most renowned and powerful agents. Many people know the 53 year-old agent for engineering moves for superstars across the world.
Much like last season, Crystal Palace have been able to fend off interest from Liverpool for the time being. But with Mino Raiola in the picture, things could become increasingly difficult for Palace.
In addition to Zion Atta, Liverpool have shown interest in Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala.
Although Liverpool do not provide the clearest path to first team football, Jurgen Klopp is known for giving young players a chance.
For example, Neco Williams (19), Rhys Williams (19) and Curtis Jones (19) have all featured multiple times this season. And before his loan move, Harvey Elliott (16) featured four times for the Reds.
Zion Atta could do much worse for his career than an Anfield arrival to work with Jurgen Klopp and the stars at AXA Training Centre.
Where will Zion Atta end up?
