Liverpool are competing for the signature of Fluminese FC forward Kayky Chagas. The Reds have contacted the Brazilian side to get more information on the young star.

Alongside Liverpool, Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City are also in the running for the young Brazilian winger.

Liverpool target Kayky Chagas

Manchester City have also shown interest, although they are currently just watching as outsiders. Shakhtar, on the other hand, have made a formal proposal to the young striker.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have drawn out a career plan for Kakyk much like they presented to Marcelo Pitaluga before he joined the Reds from Fluminese FC.

Michael Edwards contacted the Brazilian club and made an urget plea after finding out that Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk made a bid for Kayky.

Although Liverpool supporters may want a central defender brought in, Kayky should excite them just as much.

Kayky has been called “Left-footed Neymar” by Football Talent Scouts. Football Talent Scouts was recently voted best in the world for identifying young football talents.

Kayky was the top scorer in the Brazilian Under-17 Championship which saw Fluminese lift the trophy. Although the Brazilian club wants to keep its young talisman, Kayky wants to play football in Europe.

Reports claim that although he has yet to feature for Fluminese’s first team, he could absolutely make the leap and play in a European first team set up.

Kayky is one of several Under-18 players that Liverpool are currently targeting. Liverpool look set to sign Kaide Gordon from Derby county in a move to strengthen the youth set up.

With young and relatively cheap signings made in January, Liverpool look set for a big transfer splash in the summer.
