Liverpool have shown legitimate interest in signing Leeds’ forward Raphinha. The club’s scouting department has made the recommendation to sign the 24 year old after making an early impact in the league.
The right winger has made 16 Premier League appearances and has provided four goals and an additional four assists. Transfermarkt has estimated that this resulted in 1.38 points per match for Leeds this year.
After joining Leeds in the summer, Raphinha has put clubs on red alert with his performances. His transfer from Rennes to Leeds United cost an initial €17 million with another €6 million in potential bonuses.
Liverpool Scouts Recommend Him
France Football has reported that club scouts personally recommended the player to Jurgen Klopp. After watching film, it is said that the German manager has fallen in love with the Brazilian.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are famous for making good players into great players and Raphinha could be the next name on the long list of stars.
Liverpool supporters may know him for his goal against the Reds bitter rivals Everton at Goodison Park. His goal solidified that Leeds would get their first ever Premier League win at Goodison Park and their first league win at Everton since 1990. I’m sure that the Anfield faithful would welcome another blue killer with open arms.
The Brazilian has made many moves in his young career. He has played for Avai, Victoria Guimaraes, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Rennes, and now Leeds United. After a great start to his very first Premier League campaign, a move to a big club like Liverpool seems the next logical step.
Leeds United manager, Marcelo Biesla, utlises the same pressing style as Jurgen Klopp. This could make any potential transfer to Liverpool much easier for both parties. Will Liverpool move for Raphinha in the summer?
