Wolverhampton’s ownership group Fosun International has told manager Nuno Espirito Santo to raise funds.
This has put both Liverpool and Manchester City on red alert over a potential transfer for winger Adama Traore.
While Nuno is hopeful of keeping Mexican striker Raul Jimenez, he is prepared to let Traore leave if a suitable offer is submitted.
Throughout recent months, Liverpool and Manchester City have both registered their interest in the speedy winger and could both make bids this window.

Xherdan Shaqiri, Liverpool’s current backup winger, has been linked with a move away from the club.
Liverpool have said that if a suitable offer comes in for Shaqiri, they will not turn it down.
Traore would be an amazing option off the bench and would be a nightmare for the opposition.

Liverpool have long since needed more winger depth behind Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.
Liverpool are said to be in the chase for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr and now Traore.
If that is anything to go by, we can expect to see a winger brought in this summer.
Will we see Adama Traore in a Liverpool top?
