Liverpool play Leicester this weekend at the King Power Stadium. Jurgen Klopp spoke with the press today ahead of the match.
Jurgen Klopp started off the press conference by ruling out Fabinho for the match against Leicester. The midfielder will not travel due to a “little muscle issue”.
The manager also revealed that he spoke to Leicester City boss via text earlier this week. However, Klopp said that it was not about the match.
“I got a message from him this week but it wasn’t about the game of course. I couldn’t respect his work more than I do. Everyone can see it again with the situation in the table and the job he’s doing there.”Jurgen Klopp on Brendan Rodgers
Klopp’s men have been in and out of form for the past two months having been ravaged by injuries. When discussing the squad’s confidence, Klopp left nothing to the imagination.
“Do Leicester prepare to face a team without confidence and rhythm? I don’t think so. I spoke once about confidence and after I wasn’t happy that I opened that box. You have to fight through a situation like this. I saw a lot of good signs.”Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool’s confidence level

The world renowned man-manager also discussed Alisson Becker’s blunders against Manchester City.
“Of course we had a little talk. He wasn’t happy it happened. It’s rare that a keeper of the calibre of Alisson Becker makes a mistake. There was absolutely no real criticism from our side because everyone knows how good he is.”Jurgen Klopp on Alisson
The manager also offered fitness updates on Diogo Jota and Naby Keita.
“Diogo is close but not as close as Naby…2 to 3 weeks maybe [for Jota]. Naby’s was a hamstring. He’s in the final stages of his rehab. Not team training yet.”Jurgen Klopp on Jota and Keita
