Liverpool slumped to a 1-0 defeat as Steven Alzate sends the Brighton side back to the coast with all three points.
A disappointing and tired performance from Liverpool at home saw them slump to a second defeat in a row at Anfield.
Brighton did well to keep The Reds from scoring in a third home game in a row but Liverpool did themselves no favours either. Their build-up play was slower than a slug on valium and lacked any cutting edge to bypass the Brighton low block.

Honourable mention goes out to Roberto Firmino who tried to make things happen by dropping deep and getting in to some space. The Brazilian was hooked by Klopp on 78 minutes.
A shout for Thiago and Henderson for trying to create chances but alas, very rarely was a chance taken. At times they probably felt their efforts were about as useless as a white crayon.
Another contender to be considered was the young Liverpool stand-in goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, who made a few smart saves and positioned himself well all the way throughout the game. But the man of the match today goes Mo Salah, purely for looking like the only player who could score in this disappointing and demoralising defeat. Salah had a couple of chances after running in to space and was really the only player who looked like they could have hit the back of the net.Embed from Getty Images
