The 19-year-old has featured in many match day squads this season, making a number of eye catching displays.
The new deal will reportedly tie Williams down to a further five years at Anfield.
This will mean Williams spends his early prime years at Liverpool, which is a huge bonus for the club.
Not only is it good to see another academy prospect in the fray, but it provides further defensive cover.

His style of play is very much similar to that of Trent Alexander-Arnold, another youth prospect who has flourished under Klopp.
It’s clear that Williams has all the attributes to do well in this Liverpool set-up, and will no doubt develop further each season.
His pace, crossing ability, and tenacity going forward make him an extremely exciting prospect.
He also looks sounds defensively, although we mustn’t be too hasty in our expectations of him.
He does needs more time to develop, however.

This is to be expected of a junior member of the squad, but he is certainly one for the future.
At just 19, he looks like a more than capable deputy to Trent who can also cover for Robertson.
A thoroughly deserved new deal, I’m sure we can all agree.
